Without going into much detail, I wanted to make a current struggle known, and brag on God as He is at work!
Reagan has been struggling with some anxiety of great proportions lately. Well, the more we think through it, the more we realize it isn't a new struggle, just a heightened response. God has provided our family great counsel from His word, as well as an awesome Christian counselor and some play therapy for Reagan. She has also been under attack physically, fighting some appearance-altering skin conditions (currently 3 separate conditions, all at once). Though all 3 are temporary afflictions, they are stubborn in responding to prayer and meds.
There have been days where we have all been discouraged and felt a sense of defeat, BUT GOD...
Several nights ago, I overheard Reagan singing in the tub, so I stopped to listen through the bathroom door. What I heard brought me to tears of joy and open worship and praise of God. There in the tub, her afflicted body exposed to her sight, she was singing, "Your love never fails, never gives up, it never runs out on me"! She played a minute and began sing, "Our God is greater, our God is stronger, God you are higher than any other. Our God is healer, awesome in power, our God, our God"! What a sermon to me! She was praising God genuinely, rather than focusing on her present suffering. We know He is ultimately her Healer, emotionally and physically, and it is evident she believes it, too!
Today, I opened a tablet to snag a sheet of paper, wanting to jot down a verse shared with me. The tablet belongs to Reagan. She just received it in the mail yesterday and called it her "journal". Her first entry brought me to my knees! She wrote it alone, in a quiet moment. We are most definitely not defeated, no matter the trials we face. God loves us so deeply. Praise Him for her childlike faith and plead that I may possess this faith, too!

She is a wise one, and knows who is in control of her and her life. I know God was smiling down on her as her heart spoke to her as well as those who read her thoughts. We all should read this as our own heart is eager to hear from the one who knows everything about us anyway.
Oh my Goodness, what a testimony to your amazing parenting and the Lord's faithfulness to our children! What a blessing and heart warming words to a Mommy!!!
