Another busy, I mean whirlwind busy, month has passed.
We had Super Summer Alabama, a Christian youth leadership camp at Samford. This was the 5th summer of this camp and the first year of "graduates". There were four graduates (campers who attended all five years), two from Fairhaven! We are so proud of Johnny and Faith!
This was our first year to take Alex with us, and we took 6 students from Fairhaven, who show strong leadership skills. 5/6 have been in our small groups for several years and we enjoyed our week away with them. What an awesome week!
We returned home and Alex auditioned for Aristocats Kids at the University of Alabama summer drama camp. He practiced every day for two weeks, then performed as Edgar! He had his first solos and did an exceptional job. He is really growing up before our eyes this summer. We were privileged to have Slash, Mimi, Noni, Aunt Carla, Ellie, Tyler and Reagan see the show with us...and Aunt Rach and Uncle Eric were able to watch a live stream online! What a great family we have!!
The very moment the play ended, Alex and I headed to Talladega for Centrikid, a Lifeway children's camp for kids who have completed 3rd-6th grade. He was a "yellow baby" and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the weekend!
August has come quickly. This is moving month, so we are busy packing, organizing, selling/donating the unnecessary. Reagan has her stage debut this weekend in Oliver! and we have a couple of fundraising dinners approaching, but we hope to relax and enjoy time with friends and family, too!!
