Final Orange Beach Post

The kids spent more time outside this beach trip than ever before...wonderful ages!!!
Part of this was because the weather was beautiful, cool enough to tolerate for long periods of time. Another part was age and creativity of both kiddos. We spent hours in the sand and in the ocean...morning, afternoon, and evening! SO MUCH FUN!!!

Sure hope we can go again one day! This was an unforgettable vacation week!!!

What is more fun than a night at The Track?

The kids waited to go until my Daddy could arrive at the beach and join this fun!

Orange Beach, Part 2

We had such beautiful weather while we were there. For the first couple of days, some waves were still higher and the water was pretty cool, but the kids put miles on their feet, walking to get water for building with sand and running from incoming surf!

We enjoyed watching pelicans diving for fish in the ocean this trip...never seen that before!
Lots of exploring, some relaxing, and much laughter is my kind of vacation!!!

Orange Beach, Part 1

We were blessed to make a second trip to the beach in 2011. Thank you, Mimi and Slash!
Just Mimi and I took the kids down on Labor Day and Slash was able to join us at the end of the week for some more fun!!!

The only unfortunate part was our day of travel to the beach...we came in as Tropical Storm Lee blew out with fury! Below, you will see that we arrived (safely, praise the Lord) to find a double red flag...beach closed! You can see the sky and tremendous waves...it was a new experience for all of us, one we would rather not repeat!

Fortunately, we had an indoor pool to enjoy that first evening.
We awoke the next morning to beautiful weather...chilly, but sunny and bright!
We went down and enjoyed sand play for a while.

We had a leisurely afternoon of souvenir shops and Scoops for ice cream!
What a wonderful YUMMY tradition!!

When we returned to the condo, the afternoon proved to be warmer and still beautiful.
No better time to enjoy some surf right at the shore.
The kids were SO fun to watch and listen to...super fun ages!!!

More pics to come. The rest of our trip was as beautiful, warmer, and PERFECT!!!
