We did it! The temp outside is near 45 today, so you don't feel cold and can play in the gobs of remaining snow quite comfortably. We built a snowgal...much more difficult than we thought, because the snow here is powdery, but she sure is cute!

Snow Day...Hip Hip Hooray!
Though we didnt get quite as much snow as was forecast for our area, we do have 3-5 inches around our house! Eric and I both got a surprise day off and have been enjoying family fun by a crackling fire! The kids played outside for a short bit, enjoying the piles of snow left after Eric shoveled the driveway, sidewalk, front steps, and patio. Very windy and in the low 20s, so the kids are back inside for a warm lunch and S'mores! We hope to get back out later and try to build our first Colorado snowman...more pics later if that works out! For now, more family fun...

Happy Birthday, Reagan!
Today is fun and special, a big deal around here! Reagan turned SIX today. Boy, each year goes by so quickly, yet is full of such great memories.
In this past year, Reagan has been to Disney World, had her tonsils and adenoids removed, completed Kindergarten and over half of first grade, set foot in 8 states, and moved to a new house in a new state. Mercy!
God has really blessed Reagan with an amazing memory and she is hiding His Word in her heart and really seeking to understand salvation and eternal life. We pray she will come to want Jesus as Lord of her life soon and believe she will. She loves people so deeply, prays earnestly, and is genuinely concerned for others.
Reagan reaches age six as an excellent reader, with a true love for reading. She is an animal lover and has so much fun in dramatic play. She has followed Alex into an obsession with Avengers and Transformers Prime, but still chooses animals as her favorite toys and movie characters.
Reagan has reached this birthday measuring 45.5" tall, weighing 45 pounds, and wearing size 13 shoes. Her curly hair is getting so long and thick. She still prefers t-shirts and comfy pants or tunics and leggings to anything very feminine or girly. Who am I kidding? She honestly wishes everyday were pajama day!!! Hey, she's six. Who can blame her?!?
We cooked Funfetti pancakes this morning, spent time at a local bounce house after school, and went out for pizza and dessert tonight. Great day celebrating Reagan and focusing on our thankfulness to God for another year!

DECEMBER VISIT TO ALABAMA
We were so blessed to be able to visit
Alabama in December! Sure missed Eric while we
were gone, but he had just been hired (a HUGE
answered prayer), so duty called!
In Alabama, we enjoyed...
showing off new ice skating skills...
building a Home Depot gingerbread house...
choosing a live tree with Slash and Mimi...
finally meeting Oliver, Slash and Mimi's
new baby...
seeing many friends
on a day trip
to Demopolis...
Lots of laughter and fun, hugs and kisses
with family in Huntsville,
Albertville,
and Birmingham...
And an awesome visit with Aunt Rach
and Uncle Eric,
complete with more fun and scratches love
from Oliver!
What an awesome visit we had,
arriving home late on Christmas Eve to lots of snow
falling and excited for a White Christmas!
DECEMBER IN COLORADO
Our first December in Colorado brought
mailing letters to Santa at Macy's...
Lots of cute Christmas clothes and pjs
from Slash and Mimi...
Lots of time inside our warm house
with these two great pups...
Nightly visits from Mr. Jangles...
Several days of light snow...
And adjusting to life in a much drier,
colder climate! We just love it here!!!

NOVEMBER 2012
November brought us a few more days
to enjoy having Slash and Mimi visit and a trip
on the mall train with Mimi ...
More trips to the Fountain Library for
science and craft classes...
Our first trip to the Focus on the Family
Visitor Center and bookstore...
And lots of fun/learning/ministry with our new friends,
the other Vanguard resident family, the Adams'!
We stayed here and enjoyed a non-traditional Thanksgiving
feast of homemade gumbo and cornbread! We were able to share and bless our neighbors, minister to them when their dog was hit by a car on our street, and enjoy some football!
Life is feeling "normal" and we have adjusted so well.
God continues to bless us and meet our every need through
the generosity of His people, both near and far! He is also really
stretching us and moving us out of our comfort zones and into
a world of vast lostness and hurt each week!!
OCTOBER 2012
October brought us more exploring and learning...
Awana theme night with Noah and Mary...
Several trips to Fountain Library for science classes...
Boo at the Zoo, Cheyenne Mtn Zoo...
Visits to our neighborhood by deer...
Our first dusting of snow...
A neighborhood pumpkin carving contest
we were privileged to host...
And the long-awaited arrival of
Slash and Mimi to visit us!!!
