The Joy of Babies...

Two posts in one day??? Strange things are said to happen on Halloween!

Being able to stay home with Reagan is such a blessing! The daily routine with her and the boys I take care of is not easy work, but it brings me so much joy and laughter! They are growing up way too fast, but I am thoroughly enjoying being a part of teaching them and watching them learn!

Here is a good recent picture of eac
h one...

This week, we were Super Sleuths, looking for hidden pumpkins with a magnifying glass! I made an accidentally funny photo of Reagan with it, so I had to stage one for everybody! HA!

Today, I got them all dressed in their costumes and took some c
ute pictures outside before the sun got too bright! ENJOY!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

FLASHBACK FRIDAY!

Here is a look at past and present Halloween costumes for flashback Friday!
For Alexander, we have the "two chinned fireman", billy goat, scarecrow (my favorite so far), Raggedy Andy, Tigger, and this year's skeleton! What a wide variety! This is the first year I did not choose for him...ENJOY!
Reagan was Piglet last year and is a duck this year...CUTE!

FUNNY FUNNY GIRL!

Oh, my goodness! Have we ever told yall how FUNNY Reagan is?!?!?! There are times her funnies get her into trouble, but other times all we can do is just laugh! Yesterday, the other babies were sleeping, so I warmed ribs to share with Eric on his lunch break. She was still awake and had not wanted to eat all morning, so I put her in her booster seat in the kitchen with some Dora yogurt and we enjoyed our lunch together on the couch, listening to her sing and chatter in the background and answering her if she called. Because she had no appetite, the result was messy, but funny...

Needless to say, we got that cleaned up (as well as you can without a bath) and resumed our potty trials, which is always a laugh, but rarely yields a result! She enjoys just sitting on it, which is a start, we suppose! We've got plenty of time!

Today she wanted a "heh-bow" like "Lidibet" (her friend Sarah Elizabeth) who is only one week older but has MUCH more hair. I clipped a Halloween hairbow in what little hair there is on top and IT STAYED in there for at least an hour of activity! Looks more like mickey mouse ears to me, but she was proud as punch to see it in the mirror! CUTE!

Lazy Acres in Black and White!

Weekend Adventures...

Friday evening, the weather was cool and perfect, so we played outside a while! I took some cute pics!

On Saturday, we had the pickup for a rib sale to raise money
for our son's school! During the night, while men including Daddy were grilling the slabs, a precious puppy wandered up from a large field, whimpering loudly! Once she showed herself, she became quickly attached to the human company and stuck around until we closed up shop at noon Saturday. Being as soft hearted as I am, I couldn't leave her out there! She is so cute and mild mannered (and even house trained) and Alexander has quickly fallen head over heels in love with her! So, though we are making efforts to find her original family, we are fostering her in our home for now and calling her Percie, because she has really persevered, which Alexander says means she "keeps on keepin on"!

Sunday afternoon, the kids and I enjoyed a trip to Chunky, M
ississippi to Lazy Acres plantation! We rode a "train", got Alexander's face painted, saw pigs race for Oreo cookies, rode a hayride to the pumpkin patch, went through a hay maze, saw a few farm animals in Noah's Park, and had lots of fun and laughter!
Here are a few of the best pics in living color! I am creating a black and white slide show that will have its own blog! ENJOY these while you wait!

Captured another cute singing moment of Reagan's. Many days, she just walks and sings so happily! Sorry you have to hear me on this one...try to enjoy anyway! It kept her going longer!

We are still tumbling away and Alexander is really improving! His teacher let him come out and tell me that he did a kartwheel all by himself yesterday! Where we sit and wait, you cannot see in so the kids don't get distracted! That is why the photos and videos aren't as clear as I would like. I am hiding in another room and clicking thru glass, so I don't use a flash! Still cute! ENJOY!

Last night, each class from Alexander's school did a short program to show off what they have learned, so the members of Fairhaven could see what is happening in the school they support! Sorry for the camera angle only including him mostly...there was no seat that made them all visible clearly, so I chose the one most important to me! HA! ENJOY!

We had a good weekend! Friday night, we were able to hang out and have dinner with one of our former youth from Texas, who is now in college and was spending part of her fall break in BAMA! After getting flu shots Saturday morning, we deserved a little fun! The kids were able to wear their costumes and enjoy Kids Day at Lifeway Christian Bookstore in Tuscaloosa to celebrate the DVD release of the latest Veggie Tales movie.

Reagan's hair is finally coming in! I think it was well worth the wait because getting a bald baby ready is EASY! However, I am ready for people to know she is a girl! Isn't it a cute curly mess?

Then, Alexander and I had a date to see Beauty and the Beast, a production by Tuscaloosa Children's Theater! We are back in the groove of the school week today, but still smiling! ENJOY!
