McWane Center Fun

For MLK day, we enjoyed a super fun afternoon at the McWane Center in Birmingham! Everything they offer is so neat, even for adults! You can't see it all in one day! Alexander loved the IMAX movie best, Reagan loved the water area best and together, they thoroughly enjoyed watching the balls drop at the entrance, digging for dinosaur bones and seeing the last day of the TRAINS! exhibit. ENJOY these few photos...more on Winkflash in a bit!

Unusual Event...

Its not everyday you get to load up four kids and a puppy and make a quick field trip to church on a Friday to see a wild GOOSE on the playground! HA!

We also officially kicked off homeschool this week! It has been a joy to have Alexander here with us all day and he is taking it seriously and working hard with me as his teacher! We saw his former classmates when we went to see the goose. He ran to hug them, showed off his new puppy, and returned to us happily. I asked him if he wished he was still there and he said, "No maam! I'll always love them, but I love learning with you EVEN MORE!" Isn't he wonderful??? God has a BIG plan for Alex...cannot wait to see it unfold!

We had a little bit of extra fun our last day of the break...

...now, back to reality! ENJOY!

More Christmas Fun...

Alexander got a plastic box FULL of masculine dress up clothes for Christmas from Aunt Rach and Uncle Eric! Putting them on brought out a side of him that we had not really seen before! I think he is destined for the stage! Here is a video of him in his firefighter vest and hat, with his American Idol microphone, making it up as he goes! I am so glad I recorded this moment and can share it with you! Be sure you empty your bladder first, as this induces some serious laughter! ENJOY!

We had such a fun Christmas! We talked a lot about Jesus' birth and celebrated the awe and wonder that first Christmas brought and the kids really got into it! We still do Santa and all the excitement that comes with it, too! We just don't focus solely on that! The kids were such fun ages this year...full of amazement at all the decorations everywhere and such thankful little spirits for their many gifts and fun times with family! It was just plain enjoyable and joyful!
Of course, many funny stories come with these two children...I hope to add some another day! For now, enjoy the longest slide show I have ever posted!
