Funny Videos...

Some more recent photos were in order today, to include the best big brother in the world!!
At the top, he used the low slide top as a pommel horse and this is his dismount! Creative boy!

A few weeks ago, the river was way up in Demopolis! This was actually in a parking lot AFTER it went down several feet. Crocs were a mistake, but we did not intend to get out! He had a blast!

Our two year old in some big girl clothes...CUTE!

Sweet little crooked shot!
All dressed cute in brown and pink for church last Sunday night!

Here is a photo of Reagan's toe injury from today! OUCH! Poor baby dropped a Fisher Price xylophone from Eric's childhood days onto her big toe. They were not made of plastic back then folks! It was traumatic and she cried so hard for so long, but now she is able to walk. She guards that toe and keeps it lifted, so it makes her limp! But she hated the ice, so she says, "It not hutt ANNNNNY-mo, so no ice"!!! HA! :)

I know videos are slow on some of your computers, but it is nice to be able to put them on here and have them be longer and better than anything I can send over email to most of you! However, today I was gonna load two and see if those worked for yall without crashing your computers, but I am having no luck getting them loaded. Maybe tomorrow!

Two Year Portraits...

Recently, I have been talking a lot about taking Reagan to have professional two year portraits taken, but since the 18 month ones I talked about for a while never happened, I thought I better dress her up and snap some for myself just in case! Here are my favorites...

ALL of the photos from January and February are FINALLY on winkflash! Can you believe it?? And they are having 6 cent prints right now, so go for it! I also added some photos to Other Kids I Love, Part 2 and Our Budding Photographer albums on winkflash. ENJOY!!!

Fun Birthday Party...

Today, we celebrated Reagan's 2nd birthday by gathering family and friends at our church for an Old McDonald party! We had good food, big fun, and lots of laughs! Reagan really enjoyed her friends and Alexander was SUCH an excellent big brother to let her soak in the attention and gifts and keep a Christ-like attitude! I love the photos of them opening gifts together...warms a mother's heart for sure!!!

We truly missed those of you who weren't able to come because of the postponing of the party or because of illness. Three of Reagan's friends missed due to illness and so did Aunt Rach and Uncle Eric! And several other family members were not able to come once we postponed the party a week due to Reagan's hospitalization last week. You were missed if you weren't with us and we appreciate you thinking of her with gifts and cards so much! Thank you, Noni, for the haystacks, too! YUMMY!

So many cute memories! Because Reagan has an allergy to red dye, a big cute barn cake just wasn't gonna work out for us! Aunt Rach provided precious chocolate/minty animals, made by her sweet friend, to put atop my homemade cupcakes (with a little help from Betty Crocker)! Reagan loved the animals and chose them over anything else we had at the party! No tellin' how many she ate! She just kept saying, "Mo cow, mo peeg, mo lam" HA! She loves to sing...sings everyday while playing. We practiced and practiced Happy Birthday since Daddy and Sarah Elizabeth and Reagan all had them so close together! But when everyone was looking at her and singing today, she got so shy and embarrased, but was peeking out to see (and even singing along quietly)!

Reagan, embarrased but enjoying the birthday song!

Reagan, when asked how old she was gonna be! I think she acts 10 sometimes! :)

Happy girl! Reagan, enjoying her "cock-O-let" (chocolate)!

Reagan and Alexander opening presents together so sweetly!

Reagan reading a card intently! Pretty
curls!

Big crowd of kids playing with the new Little People toy from Mimi and Slash!

The magna doodle on it was her favorite part! Wants to "write my R" so badly!

Not a great picture, but you just HAD to see her boots! Cutie patootie!
And her "Mick Moush" from Elizabeth and Ethan...good buy!

And just for fun, a photo of Alexander at his 2nd birthday party for comparison! When asked recently about the resemblance at this a
ge, I said I really don't see it like others say they do and that, when he turned two, he looked SO much older than she does! But when I scrolled through to get the photo for the blog, I found that really wasn't true...more hair, but baby face! Some resemblance, but not clones!

HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE PHOTOS!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, REAGAN!

Although Reagan's party is not until Saturday, we celebrated her today! We dressed her in cupcake clothes, put out the birthday flags, cooked her favorite things, painted all day (her favorite thing to do these days), played outside endlessly, skipped school and naptime, and gave lots of extra hugs, kisses, and treats!

WHO CAN BELIEVE OUR BABY GIRL IS TWO?!?!?!

WHERE DID THE TIME GO??? We have thoroughly enjoyed her! She is a spunky little character, full of zeal. When she is happy, she is an all out joy! She talks so well and is so easy to understand. She has a true LOVE for music and sings all day and some of the night! She has so much humor in her and we love to laugh with her (and even at her sometimes)! When things don't go her way, everyone knows and she makes it quite evident, but we know God can and will channel her strong will into works for His glory alone as she grows and matures!

Enjoy the photos of our fun day and expect many more after her party!

Busy Times...

Several of you have reprimanded me by email, on facebook, or on comments about my lack of posts lately! Times have been busy, busy, busy! Lets see...a quick rundown update since my last post (which, seriously folks, was only 20 days ago!!!)...

We have had ups and downs, like all of you...

1. Our puppy, Gretchen, continued to have a weepy, swollen, seemingly useless eye despite three weeks of care and vet visits! Sadly and reluctantly, we were forced to return her to her original owners out of town, after a referral to a veterinary eye clinic in Birmingham. We had to face the fact that we were not ready to financially commit to that road with a brand new dog and the breeders had the means and desire to do just that! Our money was refunded and we are saving for another puppy, maybe in the summer! She was precious and wonderfully well behaved and we miss her tremendously. She stole our hearts quickly!

2. Homeschooling is WONDERFUL! I love to see Alexander's progress for myself and be a part of his overall learning experience. Because this is his second year to participate in Kindergarten curriculum, we are not stressing! We are taking one day at a time and supplementing the curriculum with many of his interests...trips to the library, time with family and friends, and lots of super reading! Looking forward to many more days of it!

3. We had a neat opportunity to see my college roommate Ruth, her husband Juan Carlos, and their precious baby girl, Esther Catherine! Of course, she knew Eric from Samford, but we had not laid eyes on each other in 9 YEARS! Great time of fellowship and catching up. Felt like not a day had passed and it was just a fresh breath!

4. ERIC is now 30! We celebrated his birthday, just the two of us, at Wings and around Tuscaloosa a little early, then had supper as a family on the actual day at La Fiesta in Demopolis, where he donned a sombrero and was serenaded with "Feliz Cumpleanos", much to Alexander and Reagan's delight! I hope to celebrate many many more with my sweet husband!

5. Reagan is nearing her birthday, but was hospitalized last week with severe dehydration and high fevers. She was tested for quite a few things, which all turned out to be negative. Although we will never know for sure what she had, we are thankful for those negative results and praise God for her renewed health and healing! She is almost 100%, just still requiring breathing treatments and resting much more than usual until she can build her strength back up!

6. Alexander has gotten SO good at riding his bike. He even requested that we take the training wheels off yesterday, but was so interested in falling and laughing that we have put them back on for now (knot and bruises on arm and skinned up knees to prove it, but no crying!) Noni came to visit and help when we were released from hospital and brought Reagan a bike, too! What a treat they are outside...love to watch them!

7. Reagan has become VERY interested in hairbows and wants to wear one EVERYDAY! Even asks, "Do I match?" Oh dear! What next? But isn't she pretty??

Tonight, we went to the first high school soccer game of the season here, to see some of our youth play! Super fun! Then, we enjoyed Kids Eat Free night at Pizza Hut (a first for us, even though we have lived here almost 5 years). Good food and the kids ate very well! Now they know dessert pizza exists...uh oh! Then, Alexander and I went on a date to see the Harlem Ambassadors play a Demopolis team, proceeds to Habitat for Humanity. The show was full of fun entertainment and cool basketball tricks and we had a great time! No pictures, but he can tell you all about all of it! :)
