A Glimpse Into RHS!

Reagan Hope Sanford...truly one of a kind!!!!
The only way to TRULY understand is to spend time with her, but I will attempt to do her personality justice! She is a laugh a minute for sure!

Aunt Rach brought Reagan a cookie cake this w
eekend...this girl does love food!
And has an equal love for messes that make others laugh!
Isn't she beautiful, even when messy?!?!

A recent obsession of Reagan's is to know what is forbidden by red circles with lines through the center, such as this one...
She recently asked in an intersection, "What does that sign say you cannot do?" and I answered, "There are no U-turns here...you have to keep going
the direction you are going."
She seemed to file that info away for future use. HA!

Days later, as we entered a parking lot of a business out of town, she said (out of the blue), "Mama, they don't allow P-turns here!" I was puzzled. Then, she pointed out this sign...

HAHAHAHAHA!
Oh, environmental print...you are SO FUN with a young beginner reader!
This was just a few minutes after she said (while chuckling), "I just saw a sign that said Hoots and owls eyes were in the OO!" You know what she saw...HAHAHAHA!

An unexpected reaction at the bottom of the slide made the perfect picture!
Reagan is a perfect mixture of cautious and adventurous! She is careful but she doesn't want to miss the thrill. I am trying to learn from her, especially in my walk with Christ.
I want to be wise, but I don't wanna miss a thing He has for me, especially if its only fear (placed in me by the enemy) standing in my way.

Oh my goodness, I almost forgot...Friday night, we spent some time with both of our kiddos looking up world records online...ones they could understand and relate to reality. We looked up images of the world's longest fingernails, world's shortest and tallest men and women, world's longest hair, world's largest men and women, world's biggest cat, etc. A short caption was under each photo and we learned that after winning longest fingernail title TWICE, the lady was in a terrible car accident and all 10 of her nails were broken off. What's the likelihood? We also learned that, unfortunately, most of the world's largest people had died due to health complications, even those who tried to lose the weight somehow. The time was intended to be fun and educational, and it was! However, Reagan has not gotten over the sad part. She is very tender-hearted and is drawn to sad stories and wants to hear them again and again and ALWAYS asks to pray for the people involved. This time, the discussion and prayer was held until Sunday night at bedtime. She had a sudden urge and requested she and I pray...I had NO IDEA what would follow! Although it was completely sincere, we were struggling to keep straight faces because it was random to us. She said, in her sweet and VERY HOARSE voice, "Dear God, please help those people who died. They are in Heaven but I hope their families will make better food choices so they don't die. Will you help em? I want them to live a long time. Amen." Then she rose up, looked at me very seriously and said, "I want to pray for the lady with the fingernails broken off, too, but I will keep that in my mind." And she was satisfied and went to bed. Now, it was humorous, but it spoke to me! She was as sincere as could be and has already developed a faith that knows that God is bigger and can handle anything! Thats why scripture talks about a "childlike faith"...there is nothing like it!!!

Whether cookin', eatin', or just chillin', Reagan does it all with GUSTO!
She wakes talking or singing and goes STRONG all day, but we are never bored and neither is she! God has blessed us with her energy and humor!! Yet her early sense of God and His ways, her memory of scriptural truths, her desire to pray...those are all a gift from Him, as is she!

February 12th Fun

I am behind on blogging, but I won't apologize...I am re-prioritizing, trying to get God back in the #1 spot in my life, and my computer time has been minimized greatly!

On February 12th, Reagan's actual 4th birthday, the kids had BIG FUN!

Reagan got important birthday calls throughout the day!
I love that crooked mouth more than many things!!!

Alexander got many layers of clothes on for a cold day outside!

After a major fall in a mud puddle, and a consequent clothes change,
Reagan was off to a girls day at our church...lots of little girls
with our precious pastor's wife and one of her amazing daughters.
They worked with the little ones to make Valentine goody bags
for shut ins from our church! What a sweet way to share love!!!

Simultaneously, Alex was at a baseball camp led by our high school baseball team. I snuck in a few minutes early for pick up and found him learning to bunt!

Reagan and I were then able to deliver two of the goody bags and meet the sweet, sweet ladies face to face. I was blessed and I pray Reagan and the ladies were, too!
