Birthday Reminiscing!

Who can believe that our baby girl is FOUR today?!?!
We aren't having her party until next Saturday, so I am just reminiscing today!
I am sad because time is flying by too fast, but I am so proud of her growth and learning, so I dwell on my joy rather than my tears!!!

After two miscarriages and some early contractions with Reagan, she came into the world precious and pretty in pink! God had already begun a testimony of hope in us and in her, so we used Hope as her middle name!

We truly believe God miraculously healed a skull growth issue during Reagan's first year of life! He has used her story more than once already and I pray she grows to understand what a miracle she truly is! God answered many prayers!

She has always been small for her age, but her heart (and sometimes her attitude) is big!

We are crazy about our curly girly! I prayed specifically for curly hair for her and, even on a bad hair day, I am thankful God answered a prayer some would consider trivial and silly!

At age 4, what is Reagan up to???
--She is so generous with her love...tells us at random that she loves us, gives hugs and kisses so freely to us, very outgoing at church and in the community!
--She is a great pretender...we never know who she will pretend to be next. Very vivid imagination. This year, the Wizard of Oz and Wonder Pets have been ongoing pretending obsessions...we rarely see Larry Boy anymore.
--She likes stuffed animals and blankets very much and is almost always seen carrying one or the other, or both! She sleeps with quite the entourage!
--She is soaking up new knowledge like a sponge. She can read any word with a short vowel sound and is trying hard to master long vowel words and a few common sight words, too. She can write almost all letters and writes her first and last name so well! She loves to learn and wants to have school every day, even weekends!
--She is still so musical. She sings most of what she says and wants to listen to music at all times.
--She has quite a few verses memorized and talks about Jesus so much, making our hearts so happy! I pray she will see her need for a Savior and live for Him forever!
--She is a take charge kind of girl, but we are trying to channel it into her taking care of others rather than bossing them like crazy! She will be a leader, that's for sure!
--She understands humor and keeps us laughing! She is a super silly, fun loving girl!

REAGAN HOPE, WE LOVE YOU!!!!
Happy 4th Birthday!!!

Homeschoolin' Fun

To say I LIKE staying home and teaching my kiddos would be deceiving!

The truth is...

I LIKE IT...

I LOVE IT...

I WANT SOME MORE OF IT!!!!

Whether we are making a book about the months of the year in language arts, playing a game with Daddy on his lunch break, celebrating Valentine's Day with our co-op friends, or creating a model of Saturn...it never gets old! Even on the toughest days, I don't want to trade my life stage for any other. I want to be thankful to be right where God has me for now!!!
