PIGTAILS!!!

Have you ever waited patiently for something?
Or not so patiently?

I have wanted a baby girl with pigtails for my whole life!

Got the baby girl in February 2007 and had to wait almost 3.5 years for enough hair for the pigtails!

It was SO worth the wait! Isn't she adorable?

Though it may seem silly, I prayed specifically for her to have curls like Eric! My prayers were heard and answered!

And these CURLY PIGTAILS have me simply giddy! :)

Days of Creation

Alexander got some Faith Bands that tell the story of God's creation from Genesis! Last night, our youth group worship topic was about creation, so we made a video of Alex telling the story with his bands and showed it on the big TVs in the youth room! He was so proud to be a part of his Daddy's ministry!

My boy is sure growing up, but we are so proud of who God is shaping him into!

BOTH kids are playing soccer this fall! WHAT FUN!

More firsts!

We had our first day of homeschool co-op this week!
For school age kids, there is an hour of spanish and an hour of astronomy!
What fun!!!

For the little ones, we will learn from Before Five in a Row!
Lots of reading and learning to be done!
YAHOO!

We hope they return to town very soon!!!

FEAR!

Fear becomes very real at age 3! I had forgotten!
Reagan is now very afraid of thunderstorms, mostly lightning!
We were stranded recently, at dark on a county highway, in a lightning storm...no rain, just LOTS of lightning! She was so scared that night, in spite of much prayer aloud by each of us! Ever since then, her fear of lightning is discussed often! And we have had bad weather for several days lately!



Before you think I am cruel for snapping this shot instead of holding her and loving her through her fear, I had already zoomed in for a precious smiley photo with her green eyes glowing against the dark cloud backdrop, when suddenly a bolt of lightning struck and this is what I got instead! Since it showed her fear, I thought I would share so I can remember her childhood fears when she is older!
Immediately after the photo, we went inside quickly and lots of lovin' went on!
We are teaching her that a spirit of fear does not come from God, and praying her through these days of young! But, in the meantime, bless her bones!!!

FIRST DAY of SCHOOL!

We homeschool and we love it! But we still need a 1st day of school photo shoot! It is fun to look back as the kids grow!

She is only three, but wants to have school SO badly, so I ordered curriculum and she is satisfied!

I love teaching my kids and watching them get excited about learning, especially God's Word!!!
2010-11 is going to be an AWESOME year!!!
