Word-filled Wednesday! HA!

We have been full of sickness lately and we are praying strongly that we can all get well and stay well! God has sustained Eric and I through it all so that we can focus on getting the kids well and we have had so many friends and family helping us and praying! Thank you, Slash and Mimi, for letting our germs invade your home so we could be close to our medical professionals when we needed them most! The first cool snap stirred Reagan's asthma (Winter is not her best time) and she has been on a steroid that tremendously affects her personality in a negative way. We have had some low key fun to try to distract. She is perking up now and here is an update in photo and video! ENJOY!

**I always knew the year would come when Alexander would want to choose his own Halloween costume and it is here! He has chosen to be a bright green boned skeleton, complete with mask (at least it is smiling!) and he is thrilled, so we are happy, too! He wanted to try it on yesterday and have me make a movie, so he dressed while I prepped the camera. I told him to be sure to act like a skeleton and here was the result! I am surprised the picture isn't shaky because every time the rendition started over (like "the song that doesn't end, it just goes on and on my friend") I began to laugh harder and harder (silently, of course). When he finally found a way to end it, I stopped recording (unfortunately) and asked why that was how a skeleton acts. Being so wise beyond his little five years, he said, "Because I am dead and dead people worship Jesus ALL DAY!". And to think I thought it had nothing to do with skeletons! Shame on me! It led us to a great discussion of how God promises that we will get a new body when we get to Heaven! It also reminded me that Alexander's ponderings of death and Heaven have always been unique. When he attended his first funeral at age 2 1/2, we viewed the body first and then sat down. He was silent the whole time (very unusual for our children) and we credited it to obedience. When it was over, he remained silent until we asked what he was thinking about and with a stunned look on his face, he said, "He still had a head!" With much questioning, we figured out that we had told him that the man's spirit had gone on to Heaven and that we would only see his body! Bless his heart, he thought "body" did not include head and had pondered that a lot! He is so innocent (though not without sin) and we love that about him and hope it will lead him to Christ at an early age!

Reagan loves to sing, as we have told you. She has quite a repertoire of songs and I want to share them all with you, but she just won't perform for the camera very well! She found a farm for sale in a catalog yesterday while I had the camera out to make the skeleton movie, so when she began to sing, I captured it. For some reason, following Alexander's lead I guess, she couldn't move on past the first part either! Still so sweet! ENJOY the lip action...it is usually not there!

never thought i'd see a bright green skeleton singing about the Lord!! that's awesome, and yet it was almost scary at the same time :-) those skeleton fingers wiggling while he was singing was too much!

I love the videos! You must have the best time watching those two play. They are so sweet and so funny. I agree with the wiggling bony fingers! Reagan sounds a lot like her big brother! They are so precious and I am glad to hear that Reagan is feeling better.
