Nothing warms this Mama's heart more than to see ministry and Christian love click for my two children! Now, they aren't perfect (neither am I), but they seem to be grasping what it means to put others before themselves and to love generously!
Alex put together a box for a boy, age 5-9 and Reagan did one for a girl, age 2-4. This really helped them think of what was appropriate and would be enjoyed and put to good use! The things they said while shopping helped me see that they were really thinking of another child and not themselves!
This was the first year we included pictures, letters and our return address, hoping we will hear from the children who receive these boxes! The kids insisted on drawing for them and worked especially hard to make it just right!
As SOON as the boxes were complete, Reagan asked, "When is the airplane gonna land here?" because we told her an airplane delivers them to the other side of the world. Limited understanding since she is 3, but funny always!

When the kids awoke the next morning, I had moved the boxes to a "safe" place until we could deliver them. Reagan woke up and came straight to the kitchen, hands on hips and said, "Where is the box for the little girl on the other side of the world?". HA!
Alexander got straight up and looked for his, too...wanting to rearrange so that the toys were the FIRST THING the little boy would see!
We stopped and took time to pray "that (these children) may have the power to grasp how wide, and how long, and how high and how deep is the love of Christ and to know this love that surpasses all knowledge." Ephesians 3:18 and took our boxes to our church drop-off site! Alex had a chance to pray over all of the boxes being sent from our area, with his RA group at church!
What a blessing to be a blessing!!!

God is at work in the hearts of two children in the USA, and he is at work in the hearts of two children around the world. Four children will certainly benefit for these efforts! Our God is an awesome God!
This is so wondeful. I can't wait for my kids to be old enough to understand this and learn how important it is to give to others!
I set my blog to private today but I don't have your email address to invite you. Email me at cabra.ak@gmail.com and I'll send you the invite!
