A beautiful Spring Break day led us to the Birmingham Zoo with Mimi! It was super crowded but OH SO FUN! We stayed for 4 1/2 non-stop hours of entertainment! Alexander and Reagan were delighted with every animal and had a great time! We are going back SOON!
Of course, with these two kids, there were LOTS of laughs!

- Alexander was thrilled and giddy that we were able to watch the gorilla regurgitate and re-eat its food repeatedly! Too much for me!
- Reagan was brushing a white goat in the shade, then moved to a black goat in the sun and said, "WHOA! HOT GOAT!" in a tone that sounded like it was being served in a restuarant!
- The flamingos stayed right up by the fence, eating out of our hands! Of course, they were into the food, but Alexander will tell you that it had been so long since they saw a zebra that they were in love with the one on his shirt! No ego issues around here!
- Mimi pondered aloud, "Wonder how you know when these flamingos are full?" Reagan squatted down and hollered thru the fence, "Hey you! Are you done?" to a nearby flamingo, then walked away with the most satisfied look on her face!
