I have no intent to offend or upset any of you with this post. I am simply speaking my personal beliefs and convictions. If you voted for Obama/Biden for President, I think no less of you and love you no less. However, I did not and do not agree with it! This is the first time in my life, admittedly, that I have taken a true interest and involvement in the politics of our country and world. I have voted before, but have just gone on the opinions of those around me. This time, I researched the candidates, watched the debates, and kept my eyes and ears open! I made my own decision. I am cautious about what is going to come during Obama's time in office, but I am not fearful because God's Word says He did not give me a spirit of fear! We have two children that we have committed to raise in fear and admonition of the Lord. I want to model for them and teach them how to be holy in an unholy land. I want to be a leader for God through this time and I want our children to learn how to be leaders in the world, too. We need a generation of bold, Godly leaders and I want to responsibly raise at least two of those. I pray I will stay strong in a weak time and will help our kids do the same.
The Bible clearly tells us that, before the return of Christ, things in this world will worsen. So, I pray, "Even so, Lord Jesus, come quickly"! I am trying to add a link to a video that disturbs me greatly and brings me to tears. Obama's views on the life of an unborn baby are my main opposition to his leadership! However, I will remain obedient to God's Word by submitting to Obama's authority and even respecting it, until it crosses the line into sin and disobedience to God. I will commit to praying for Obama and Biden and their families as they enter office. God is still God, He is in control, He is our ultimate authority, and He is King of Kings! He is bigger than what is going on in our country. This hasn't taken Him by surprise and He is ready to continue to reign! Grab some tissue and watch the video, but don't hate Obama...pray for him, that he will be convicted where his beliefs are not biblical! God loves Obama and we should, too! We can love him without loving everything he stands for!

crazy how similar our posts are! but i think most of us agree on exactly what we've both said. it will be an interesting time while he is president but at least we know who is really in charge!
